I am available as a freelance editor and copy writer. I offer services ranging from copy editing and copy writing to overseeing all editorial aspects of a publication. I have experience in most editorial roles, and have edited for newspapers, magazines, think tanks and nonprofit organizations.
I seek a diverse range of innovative work. In one exciting project, I led successive teams of journalists covering the massive, biennial global AIDS conferences, between 2000 to 2004. Our writers syndicated daily dispatches for hundreds of black community newspapers and Web sites in the U.S. In a dramatically different project, I wrote display copy for a traveling exhibit of historic black cinema posters. I’m always looking for similarly unique opportunities.
