Drifting Toward Love
Black, Brown, Gay and Coming of Age on the Streets of New York

Countless migratory kids populate the outskirts of New York’s gay wonderland. These young people--mostly black and Latino, often homeless--are what social service providers call “at-risk” youth. They top the list for a disturbing array of social ills, from violence to suicide to HIV. But the question must be asked, what drives all this risk? Drifting Toward Love explores the question by taking a step back from it to follow a handful of young men on their search for belonging.
